The physics side of my brain would love to know if that was enough force to amputate.

One reference here to a local news article that said he lost his foot, but no link.

Other than that, I can't find much other than reposts of the video, various OM NOM NOM photoshops, and pages and pages and pages of pointless debate about whether he deserved it or not. If there were only some way to harness all of the hot air generated on the Internet, we would have enough energy to meet our needs for 1000 years.

That's a stack of concrete slabs coming down on him, concentrated in a 1-2 inch line across his leg. Yeah, that'd sever the muscle and crush the bone. It might have been left hanging there, but the foot's lost.

I'd like to say "he got what he deserved". The problem is he hasn't got what he deserved as now he will no doubt be claiming disability living allowance and God knows how many other benefits.

Hes a disqualified driver at the moment but as soon as he gets his licence back he will probably qualify for motability and get a car or at least help towards the cost.

He probably still lives at home so his parents will probably claim a carers allowance for looking after him.

Its a shame he wasn't head butting his way through he might have qualified for a Darwin award instead.

There is no sin except stupidity.

You need to forward this to the Mythbusters.

Explosions, gel dummies and controlled environments (very limited variables) don't bust myths, thought is good for entertainment. I can almost see it: "an artificial leg being pushed forward by a car and to a wall, while it detonates an explosion behind when the wall breaks".
