Yeah, even without stereoscopic 3D is a great machine. Maybe it's not a phone, but current Nintendo portables are good with entertainment and edutainment software.
In my country a 3DS officially costs ~$210 USD more than yours (that is ~$460 USD). I'll get it from Amazon whenever I get the chance, after game library increases in a year.
