and guess what? When you ask any mamedevs to fix something, the chances of them working on it in your lifetime decrease by about 95%.

Thanks for the info, I did search there but I must have screwed up my search.

I can't view the report (I only get an Apache test page) but I have a Pleiades PCB here so I can offer more info. The game uses a custom chip for the music which hasn't been reverse-engineered. The schematics are available and the discrete part should be a walk in the park for someone like Derrick so that's obviously not why there's no music in the game.....

Things do get fix. Why just a month ago Star Fire got correct colors. At least your game has sound.

Guess you're still banned :-) (your dynamic ip range used to collide with an annoying individual didn't it?)

Sigh...just watched that video of Pleiades running on a proper arcade CRT, and it just reminded me of how utterly shit modern LCD's make anything in MAME look.
Every time i use MAME, i weep at the day i sold my 19' Mitsubishi Diamond Pro CRT monitor back in 2005 to make the jump to an LCD, thinking it was an upgrade...it wasnt.:(

Old CRT monitors like that are cheap and easy to come by on, e.g. craigslist, if you want to switch back.

The "alarm sound" in the TMS36xx chips is unknown, i.e. the tune1 array in src/emu/sound/tms36xx.c. If we could manage to acquire the notes it plays, this seems to be one fix, as the melody in the original video clip is (of course) different from the melody which I put in there.

Heh. A long time ago with that work there. I am guessing that was at the time when Atari System 1 hardware protection was just figured out back then while Neogeo fans were also jumping up and down with Neo Geo support was starting to be supported in MAME.

I read through all of the OverClocked "strips" a few weeks ago. It's hilarious what was considered important back then. (Also, I think they owe Aaron a pudding snack and/or their souls - the original offer strip explicitly said "in MAME", so FinalDave is ineligible).

How much effort did you put into getting your game emulated? How much did you spend to get Mame and your roms?
Oh...
