And I don't mean cos they might be drunk or upset or whatever. Hair and make-up and clothes *do not* make people look pretty. It might make them palatable, but.....

Beauty is a relative term. For example we're still surprised how a white British (considered handsome) can find a Mexican "below average" woman attractive. Apparently some of them love women with broad noses.
It doesn't matter how "ugly" you find a woman, there's always someone on the other side of the world thinking she's hot. And I'm OK with that.
