Omega Race

Just curious if there really needs to be a yellow overlay in "Omega Race"? My cabinet (an upright, serial #116 - one of the two donors for the sets in MAME) is the standard B&W, identical to the cabaret one in this vid:

There are 4 versions of the cab, Upright, Cabaret ("Mini"), Cockpit ("Sitdown") and cocktail. I can't speak for the later two, but the first two shouldn't be yellow.

I can't empirically prove mine never had one, but the cab was bought last year off it's owner for the past 19 years and he never opened the cab. It seems unlikely the previous (original) owner would have gone to all the effort of removing the complex array of cardboard art inside just to remove a plastic overlay.

Anyone else out there have one of these?

Could the overlay be there, but faded to transparent? I know some blue gel lenses do that due to non lightfast pigments?

From the parts manual:

Page 63 (Upright): Transparent Vinyl Overlay
Page 79 (Mini): Blue Acetate Overlay

RELAX and just have fun. Remember, it's all about the games.
