DU Update: Football was created in America in 621 AD

We got an old version of Pigskin 621 AD. It's labeled as Rev 2.0 where the set in MAME is labeled Rev 1.1K, but it's older (7/06/90). The program roms and graphics roms are all different.
TrevEB dumped a version of Video Hustler licensed to Dynamo Games.
Also we redumped the Salary Man Champ CD.

Another good find there.

That's what we thought it was at first but it comes up Video Hustler. Maybe there's a dip that changes title or something, don't know.

Smitt, please edit your post. This is L'il Hustler It was pulled from a working L'il Hustler cabinet It is a licensed copy of Konami's Video Hustler The cabinet and flyer are identical. Also, 3 of the roms were significantly different. The game may yet reveal it's differences. It does have less in common with Video Hustler then with the other clones

That's odd when title screen has Video Hustler on it, but I never saw this game in person so no idea about it. Anyway, thanks to contributor willing to allow the game to be backed up/preserved.
Was there any manual there that might provide some gameplay descriptions or options that might not be with Video Hustler?

I'll have a look but I doubt it. Manuals are curiously missing from this collectors cabinets. More info in a month I would say. The bezel will however be coming soon.

Okay, thanks. Good to have that alternate version covered.

I look forward to that.

blame lazy Dynamo Games guys which did not spend time to change the title screen
however, it might well be that Konami had put restrictions in their license about the name, so that they were forced to only change name in the arts but not on screen
hard to find out, if we don't get in touch with whoever worked on this

I have the original complete system and the dump is correct. maybe a CHD of it was corrupted when the CHDMAN versions changed or something similar but I never supply CHDs, only raw dumps which the devs then convert. if it did need redumping I could have handled it easily in 5 minutes if someone asked. It's interesting you chose to waste yet more donated money on something that is already secured (another example is ATV Track plus many others) instead of simply inquiring about the existing dump and/or requesting a redump from me directly.

What's interesting is that you would assume this. I bought it with my own money because I wanted the system it was bundled with and it was dirt cheap. Other people got credited because they chipped in on the shipping of the whole lot of items from Japan (not donated DU funds, not asked for, just a surprise last minute gift from my friends in Japan). I didn't even know it needed to be redumped until I had it. Re: ATV Track, I've already been through this with you, but you told me the guy who said he would send you one disappeared and I got a donation specifically for it and additionally mine is probably a different revision, I've seen multiple revisions of it, usually a sticker on the cage. Bye bye.

I could edit the post but I don't think there's any way it will be labeled as Lil Hustler in MAME if the title screen says something else.

yup, convention is to name games based on the title screen, if one is available.

Couldn't you just use "Original Name (Licensed Name, Company License)" in the source or game info?

The side art design for that game is pretty good. If working with the bezel later, good luck with that.
