Why do they call them muscle relaxers..........

When they really should be called "Make you so drowsy you fall asleep anywhere" pills? My back went out on me while clearing the ungodly amount of snow on my driveway, so I went to see a doctor since I couldn't even sit still without being in pain. The doc went and gave me some Vicodin for the pain, and Flexeril for the muscle spasms. I took one of the muscle relaxants last night while lying on my couch watching TV and next thing I know, it's 9:00 A.M. and I had just passed out on the couch. What the hell?!!!!!
I think I'll just stick with the Vicodin for now as that at least makes me feel a bit funky and doesn't make me suddenly pass out and fall asleep for 12 hours. Save the Flexeril for the nights when I can't sleep. Damn.

I dunno, it sounds kind of nice to me. I chipped a car out of a six foot snowbank by myself today. Basically everything lower than my ears hurts right now.

I can't wait, we're supposed to be getting our snowmaggeddon Tues-Wed. Maybe I should call the doc preemptively. I've had to take relaxers for a prolonged time period in the past, probably took a third of what I was told to. They do make you all melty, not my cup of tea. I'd rather have the pain.
BTW, how many inches did you guys end up with last round? Latest GFS and European models have Chi-town getting hit with 1.62" of moisture, at a 15 to 1 ratio. 24" wonderful inches of the white crap after the math..

I live in the SE part of Connecticut and in the last round of storms, judging by the height my snowblower was digging out on my driveway, we got about 18-20". This is on top of the 2.5 feet that already was sitting on my property. It's strange walking down my driveway to go pick up the mail and having the snow be halfway up my chest. Makes it dangerous to pull out of my driveway because the town went and piled up the snow on the sides of my driveway. So I basically have to pull out blind and pray I don't get hit.
We're supposed to get more snow next week on Wednesday. That sucks because I have to fly down to Orlando, Florida for a business meeting and don't want to get stuck up at Bradley due to the weather. Last time I had to go to Miami for a meeting I was stuck in the airport for a good long while before we finally took off into the heart of a blizzard.
This winter has just been hell. My roof will definitely need repairs after this storm due to all the ice that is forming up there. When all of this melts, there is going to be some MASSIVE flooding because we just haven't had any warm weather to allow it to melt away.

The last one "only" dropped about 10 inches in my area. We're at 60+" so far this winter. We've really only had one big multi-foot storm this year, but we're getting hit almost weekly with 8" - 14" storms and the temps have been brutally cold in between, so nothing melts. We're supposed to get the next one Tuesday-Wednesday, I have no idea where we're going to put it. This is the literally worst winter I can remember.

That's a hell of a lot of snow, wow. Only time I had a chance to see that much on the ground was in Denver, and I happened to be out of town those two weeks. We were hit by a storm that dumped 72" in spots, I think Golden got hit hardest. Someone snapped a picture of my '78 Bronco, with 33" mudders mind you, completely buried.

I agree. I've seen winters with a lot of snowstorms before, but the big difference is that shortly after the storm, we'd get a stretch of days in the low 40's so all of the snow would melt away. This year, once the snow has been dumped, the temperatures plummet. Just about a week or so ago I stepped outside and the thermometer said "-3". It was painfully cold. I kind of wish spring would hurry up and get here, but before it does I need to get some sandbags and other methods of keeping the water that always comes up in my basement from spreading too far. (It leaches up through the concrete into the center of the basement. So I figure I'll just try and contain it in that one area and let the drainage system around the exterior of the basement keep that part dry. I'll also need to trek through the 4+ feet of snow to the other side of my house where the drainage pipe exits and make sure that it's free to pump the water out. Ugggh).
You know that we've had enough snow when people's kids are saying that they're sick of all the snow.

I'm good. There is a nice and large sewer pipe waiting for it this year

It was probably the Vicodin that knocked you out.

'cause “muscle relaxer” sounds better than “sphincter releaser”. <nt>
