55" flat bed scanner

i just found a business in town that can scan 55 inches square and read through glass/plexy up to 1 1/4 thick in full color.
from what i understand its the only scanner in canada that can handle this size in color.
it was custom built in germany for just under 50k and is brand spanking new.
the cost of scanning is 5 dollars per square foot.
robot bowl's bezel is 27" x 18-7/8"
so my hoarded exidy robot bowl bezel is finaly going to get scanned for cheaper than shipping it out to mrdo.
hopefully someone here will be interested in doing there magic with the file.
no stitching should make things a bit less painful.
one question, what should we be aiming for in file size and dots per inch?
taking it to them monday and will update then.

Very cool. That's how Trevor has been getting artwork scanned, also.
300dpi, no color correction, and we can go from there.
