Two MAJOR outages spanning multiple state, within 1 week of each other. Both dealing with DNS. Both times your customer service lines were taken offline. I'm calling BullShit. You are either:
a) Upgrading main trunk equipment on the cheap
b) Getting hax0red and p0w3nd.
I'm going to go with option a. If indeed that is the case, drop me an email saying "Hey, you are going to be offline between...". This way, I can plan my online activities like paying bills and jerking off to midget porn, at a time that is more convenient for you to provide me service. I don't mind being offline. I do mind being offline without notice, when said notice could have been given.

Have you experienced where on Saturday, Sunday and Monday like clockwork Comcast decides to take away your internet access and when you consult your cable modem's diagnostics it says no signal detected but then by Tuesday everything works fine again?
Another personal favorite of mine is to come home from work and have to reboot the cable modem multiple times by removing the power cable and co-axial cable. I'm half tempted to try DSL since FIOS is not available in my area.

The best part is when I bought my house ten years ago and signed up for Comcast for cable and internet access everything was great until about five years ago when they started promoting the high-speed internet access. At that point things went south real quick. I stopped counting the number of times I would see the Comcast truck parked in front of one of my neighbor's house for a service call.
