Very good work there. I forget the size of that Atari cab being fairly large for its kind back in the 1970s....especially for a video game because to me it seemed that many of the EM hardware games were bigger compared to videogames at the time.

Cops & Robbers is huge! It's a 4 person game.
There is inside art as well. Actually, a mural painted on the cabinet below the screen.
I'll take some pictures of it next time I'm at the warehouse.
It's below your field of view, so I don't think you would actually see the interior art while focused on the game.

Absolutely amazing. I've never even seen a tempest cocktail in real life.
With Cops and Robbers, is the mural different than the image on the flyer? This makes it appear to have images on the sides of the screen as well as the bottom.

I don't recall seeing that art around the monitor.
I only recall the cabinet being painted out orange inside, with machine guns underneath the monitor.
I may have just blanked it out, since I knew it wasn't coming with me.

I'm always impressed by the documentation and artwork side of this project, especially with obscure games nobody has ever seen in the real world. But preservation is only one side of the coin. The next question is, who are we preserving it all FOR? If we don't somehow generate interest among young people in these old machines, preservation will only be temporary at best.
That's why we need more projects like Donkey Kong II or original games in the "80s format" as a whole. We also need more front-ends like 3D Arcade that approximate what the actual arcade experience was; today's kids will have no recollection of that, remembering only sitting in front of a TV with a console game.

Here are some pictures from inside the Cops and Robbers Cabinet. Sorry, looks like Atari bailed on the 3d city artwork.
