Awesome!!!
One more to add to the next release.
(Though the inner artwork is going to need to come later).

RELAX and just have fun. Remember, it's all about the games.

Ok, just a question. First of all, this is a beautiful bezel but it doesn't seem to match the flyer or cabinet pictures. Is this because this is a Taito bezel and not a Midway bezel? Are we still looking for a Midway bezel? as well as the backdrops?

Yes. Yes. Yes for the Midway version. I'm not sure if vectorzorg has access to the Taito backdrops or not.

This is a pretty old thread so I don't know if anyone is still interested but came across a decent photo of a Midway Blue Shark with the backdrop. I photoshopped out the video elements and fixed up the perspective. I think it makes a quite useable MAME artwork element, though perhaps not up to the standards of scanned artwork. What does everyone think?

I also made a bezel from the photo of the Midway version that ChuckH posted. I vectorized the text portions to make it readable ("textorized"?) but I left the artwork alone since I'm new to the vectorizing thing and don't think I could do it justice.
Note: I had to compress these screenshots to fit in the 48K max attachments. They do look slightly better than this.

This person might still have the back artwork.

The LAY file seems to be working OK so I'll post the full file so people can try it out while I work on the Midway bezel some more.

Thanks. Looks great and thanks for adding both bezels with the lay file. The background adds a lot.

I was looking around the FTP site and found scans of the cardboard artwork for Taito's Blue Shark. The artwork is different than Midway's, though the outline is the same. I've started stitching together the Taito scans (hopefully no one was already working on that?) so we can have a more accurate background for the Taito version.

I finished stitching and cleanup on the left-side inner cardboard piece for Taito's Blue Shark. It came out quite nice; too bad most of it will be hidden under the bezel. By the way, is there a proper name for this type of artwork? Foreground-piece? Partial-inner-bezel-with-attached-side-piece?

I have no idea what the term for that is, but it looks awesome!

Here's the Taito Blue Shark artwork with cardboard inner bezel and vacuformed backdrop. I moved the outer bezel to the Marquee layer (it is a combined marquee+bezel) so it can be turned off separately from the inner bezel, which is the only way to see the whole inner bezel.

Here's the zip file. I also touched up the Midway version a bit but I really need to find higher res photos of the Midway bezel and background before I can take it much farther.
