"Grinds my gears"
#239223 - 11/18/10 01:13 AM

I seriously hate it when movies edit songs around to make them fit into a scene and it ends up that the song lyrics no longer make any sense. I fucking hate it. Here's bacon for listening.

I hate the giant billboards they put on restaurant tables nowadays. Logans has got to be the worst. Not only is it a 6 page foldout book... seriously... but worse... it hangs by its spine from a rack which makes the book swing open, maximizing its visual field occupation... but it gets even worse than that.... the whole rack is anchored in a metal bucket full of peanuts... meaning your view for the entire meal is the billboard minus the people you are eating with that you can't see. When your dinner comes, you almost haver to hold your plate in your lap, because there are also a bunch of salt shakers, ketchup bottles, cheese shakers, vinegar dispensers, hot sauce bottles, and a giant vibrating dildo on the table. We had to ask our waiter I forget how many times for fresh batteries.

Maybe it's better to eat @home then and cook a nice meal together, both of you? Oh wait, that's NA where you are living, ok doesn't makes sense because almost nobody can cook over there.

>because almost nobody can cook over there.

Over "there"? From that, at first I thought you were from the UK and was knocking the West for it's food... which made no sense, knowing them Brits eat lightly salted and toasted cardboard for supper, but then... I see you're Bostonian, so now I'm totally confused. Do you mean "there" as in the other side of the Mississippi? Or the other side of the Mason-Dixon line? Or are we talking equatorial divides, and you mean to dis the entire southern hemisphere...

NOT TO MENTION the fact that I've already posted that I'm ordering my Thanksgiving turkey from Albertsons... which should clearly speak to my fine culinary skills when it comes to the fine preparation of festive poultry.

So, just what are you saying?

Obviously you were never around here. Maybe it's not as diverse, but even you guys praise the quality over quantity (bread, cheese, ham, sausages etc.). (Having something as Fresh Market in Hingham does not count, that's exclusive) And i know both. Btw, do a test using Estonian bread and your stuff

No I'm a Kraut. Hun. Boche. Whatever you call us in your part of the World. That's were the "SN" comes from: Saxony. But working in "MA" part time of the year (and previously "FL"), and being also often in "SK" (which means Prague) so knowing all the places around and also the cooking abilities/habits of my co-workers and some of their friends. And yours

Actually, she's a phenomenal cook... starts early in the morning making stuff from scratch for dinner most days of the week. I don't know anybody else who's wife actually "cooks" dinner anymore. I don't ask her to, she just likes to make dishes she's used to, which you can't really get "here".

But... she's not from "here" and has never cooked a turkey before... and we'll be getting in from out of town late the night before. Buying a precooked turkey seemed the right way to go. I'll let you know how it pans out... could be a genious move, or a disaster...

And change the tomato sauce for ketchup. Or even better, strawberry jam. That way you'll have meal and dessert at the same time so you can get out of the family table sooner ^_^

Sometimes I like the real Italian stuff. Only done with original spices that i bought personally in Umbria and Tuscany. But you do not always have so much time.

I am sooo happy that both of you are able to at least **** together, because otherwise you would spend a fortune on that at professionals too. :P

Adverts do that a lot too, it's especially annoying when its an instrumental part and just when you expect the vocal to kick in they splice to the next instrumental or loop it!
