0.140 samples (clrmamepro dat)
#238962 - 11/15/10 09:57 AM

Again Roman, sorry to post here. I still can't register to your forum, it says:

An Error Has Occurred!
The user Read Only with Email *@*.* (IP *.*.*.*) is a Spam, please contact forum administrator.

I have contacted the Admin (simone) twice and he doesn't answer.

Here is the problem.
I used your sample file dat for 0.140 and it says I have 0 missing, but when I run an audit with MAMEUI, it says I have 16 incorrect samples. So are you sure your sample dat is correct?

Let me know your IP range so I can see what I can do...

Regarding the dat, yes, it's correct and up2date with the new circus samples for example.

Most likely you stumble upon the fact that there are a lot of not-dumped samplesets which are correctly listed in the dat as "nodump".

MAME itself does not have the dumpstatus information for samples and want to have them all for an audit.

So if you want to have a correct audit with MAME, you need to fake them...

PM'd you my IP range.

Wasn't the circus sample posted this month? Your last dat according to the www profiler is dated 20091023. One year old!!

No idea where you're looking but on my page (http://mamedev.emulab.it/clrmamepro/datfiles.htm) it is listed with 2010-11-07.

I believe it is a bug in cmpro.

I had the sample dat 20091023 and it was marked as local. I downloaded the 20101107 sample dat from your link and it was still marked as local.

And guess what, I have deleted the sample dat, refreshed list, relaunched cmpro, and it still marks the sample dat as local in the www profiler!!!

It happens only to the sample dat apparently.

*Edit*
There is more! After I deleted the sample dat from the hard drive, I re-added it to the root folder of /datfiles and when I tried to move it to the MAME subfolder (right click, move profile) with cmpro, I had a message "this dat already exists do you want to overwrite it?" even tho I verified 5 times that the sample dat was not physically here in the hard drive. This is a pretty weird bug, good luck figuring it out.

How did you deleted the dat? Manually? Keep in mind, the dat information is also stored in settings and www profiler cache...

Yes I deleted it manually, so that would explain the second issue, but not the first (marking the 2009 sample dat as local in the www profiler).

Anyone has been able to reproduce this bug?

It's not repeatable...most likely that you had the old date in the wwwcache for whatever reason, so the behaviour of showing it as local was correct.
