How do I report/request a game's name to be changed?

How or where do I request or report a game's name to be changed?
For a number of years some of the Power Instinct/Gouketsuji Ichizoku series have been named incorrectly and I would like to report/request the name change to the correct titles.
It's easier to just call them "Power Instinct" yes, but unfortunately only the first 2 USA games had that title, the others (Legends and Matrimelee) didn't.
And of course, I don't have to mention that none of the Japanese releases are even called "Power Instinct" in the first place.
Just in case, these are the correct and official titles for the games:
1. Power Instinct (USA) / Gouketsuji Ichizoku (Japan)
2. Power Instinct 2 (USA) / Gouketsuji Ichizoku 2 (Japan)
3. Gogetsuji Legends (USA) / Gouketsuji Ichizoku Saikyou Densetsu (Japan)
4. Gouketsuji Ichizoku 3 - Groove on Fight (Japan only)
5. Matrimelee (USA) / Shin Gouketsuji Ichizoku Tokon - Matrimelee (Japan)
There are two other games, but one is for the PS2 and the other isn't in MAME yet, so there's no reason to mention them.

I don't hear Japanese version has intend to release as 'Power Instinct' though Capcom's 'Vampire' has been 'Night Warriors' even in Japan at the first time.

Japanese title may be 'Gouketsuji Gaiden - Saikyou Densetsu' because many sources print so. But I need to investigate continuously.

'Groove on Fight - Gouketsuji Ichizoku 3' will be correct because some source (e.g. game magazine) prints 'Groove on Fight' as main title.
So this game is indexed as 'グ' (Gu), not 'ゴ' (Go).
Also I confirm OST (Arcade version, not Sega Saturn).

If you request, it will be the best way to SEND fixed driver to official team instead of REPORT.
But I doubt because your report is not correct a little.
So you should adduce a source and these titles need to be investigated further.
BTW, I hear 'Polygon' Gouketsuji based on PS board has intend to release by Aron which releases only one title, 'Rabitt' but it is 'unreleased' game in Japan!
Main stuff of Aron are from Atlus, SNK and Capcom.

I scan the jackets from OST for Arcade. Left is 'Gouketsuji Gaiden - Saikyou Densetsu' [PCCB-00190 09.21.1995], right is 'Groove On Fight - Gouketsuji Ichizoku 3' [PCCB-00263 06.18.1997].
Anyway, I disagree your report right now because of unclear source.

What is so unclear? The Japanese versions are not called "Power Instinct". But in MAME they are all called Power Instinct, even the Japanese ones. This is incorrect.

well none of these region switch... except the neo-geo game. and even then it still uses the japanese title screen.

No they aren't (well, only groove on fight is). Maybe your MAME is outdated.

pwrinstj is already named "Gouketsuji Ichizoku (Japan)"

changing plegends "Power Instinct Legends (US, Ver. 95/06/20)" to "Gogetsuji Legends (US, Ver. 95/06/20)" is arguable since that is what the title says... however I disaggree. Gogetsuji is on the title but that's romanized/spelled wrong, it shoud be a k not a g. and its even that way on the japanese title. The fact that it wasn't changed to "Power Instinct" for the english ver was probly just lazy localization. I'm surprised they bothered to change the Saikyou Densetsu text to "Legends".

Well, your right for this one, almost. groovef should not be "Power Instinct 3 - Groove On Fight (J 970416 V1.001)"
but "Groove On Fight - Gouketsji Ichizoku 3 (J 970416 V1.001)".
However it could arguably be just "Groove On Fight (J 970416 V1.001)" and not "Groove on Fight - Gouketsji Ichizoku 3" as the "Gouketsji Ichizoku 3" text is only on the OST and not on the actual game title screen.

The name for matrim is already "Matrimelee / Shin Gouketsuji Ichizoku Toukon" but should be "Matrimelee / Shin Gouketsuji Ichizoku Toukon - Matrimelee" Though it could arguably be just "Shin Gouketsuji Ichizoku Toukon - Matrimelee" as the english versions use the japanese titlescreen without alterations.

I understand, however, lots of USA games keep the Japanese title and just add the English name. It is not supposed to be pronounced by the Japanese title, even if it's shown on the screen. Although, I don't really know who is that decides what titles to use or where to take the titles from (flyers or title screens).

Yes, you are right, my MAME is kind of old. I checked and you are correct. The Japanese titles for the first 3 games are ok.

Well, I know it's romanized incorrectly and yes, it's probably a lazy localization, but that's the only official title we have. Until a flyer with the name "Power Instinct Legends" appear, we should only call it by the (lazy) name on the title screen.

Actually, the flyer has the Gouketsji Ichizoku 3 subtitle too:

But again, I don't know what MAME considers more official, the title screen or the flyer (or both?).
If it's just the title screen, then it should just be called "Groove on Fight".
I know whoever named them just wanted to have the games grouped together under the same "Power Instinct" name, but it is just not accurate.
Anyway, where exactly should I go to report the name changes then?
Or you could do it if you want too. I wouldn't mind.

Actually like I mentioned, the third one, Saikyou Densetsu should be "Gouketsuji Gaiden" not "Gouketsuji Ichizoku" like it is currently.

It used to be the contact/submit form on mamedev.org. But maybe submitting it as a bug report at mametesters.org is better, but i'm not 100% sure. All I know for 100% is, they don't like a driver/diff being submitted for just a name change. Just telling them is enough.
