Well, I am a little bit confused. I tried to run e.g. Quizard v2.2 but I was unable to enter the game past the initial configuration screen.
According to the whatsnew.txt the upper mentioned game should be working, as it was lifted to the games now running.
I have seen the warning message in the selection screen of MAME. Is there a special trick to enter the game? I tried to press F2 -> nothing. I tried rebooting with F3 but with no result.
Should the game be still unplayable?
Another question. Do these games have those Philips logos or is this visible only in MESS?
There was an issue in u4 where the UART wasn't properly reset to a known state at startup, so sometimes the game boots and sometimes it doesn't. (In cases where it does boot it should be playable with no further problems as Harmony's blog describes). This was fixed for 0.140.

The trick with Fast forward works only for normal MAME and not MAMEUI32

unlikely. emulation is the same. most probably you hit one of the random events which do not make the game start and which are equally probable in both MAME and MAMEUI...
