Ha, I was just listening the crap out of this song the other day. Back in the day, having never seen the band or any pictures, I would have said it was sung by a girl. When I found out later it was a dude, my vision of illicit Iron Maiden-fan high school lesbian love went out the window.

Spot on. I think you'd be hard pressed to find anyone who didn't have their own mental version of noel in a prom dress holding maiden tickets...only to have the buzz killed instantly once you saw the band.
What baffles me even more is that they haven't produced one track since that I can even remotely get into.
I will give them credit, not many bands can say they define both " one hit wonder" AND "boner killer".
