Its a Toshiba-manufactured CMOS z80. Some games may be sensitive to CMOS vs NMOS z80s, since the rate at which open bus is pulled to 0xFF is different due to the process difference. (The votrax PSS crashes with a cmos z80 but works fine with an nmos one, for instance)
