YUV->RGB hardware support in MAME?

Hi, Again for some MPEG games. These games play MPEG Video as background, with a sprite layer in front of the video.
What is unusual from normal hardware, the Palette for Sprites is not in RGB format, but in YUV. I suppose the sprite layer shares with MPEG layer the same YUV->RGB converter in a REAL arcade board.
Since most present VGA cards can do color space convertion. Does MAME support this?

SDLMAME does. I don't know about Windows MAME.

MAME supports YUV-format framebuffers. Baseline can use the video card to do the final RGB conversion, SDLMAME can't until someone writes me a pixel shader under an appropriate license.

Thanks, Belmont.
Could you show how to define a UYVY frame buffer/Palette in MAME? Some code example will be very helpful.
