Hello,I am not a programmer, I am a technician and to be honest I do not really know much about this stuff. What I would like to be able to do is use the cheat codes, ie. unlimited shields etc. in my Atari Asteroids Deluxe game. I need someone to point some fingers a little more directly to what I need to do. If I could only know what I need to view the code and where to find it in my program I might be able to figure it out. I have found the codes.

I just do not know how to use, or implement would be the better word, these codes.

Your post is a little confusing. See, the above sentence would indicate that you actually own an Atari Asteroids Deluxe arcade cabinet, and you wish to add the cheats to the game in the cabinet. (as well you should, since it's the only quasi-legitimate way to obtain the ROMs)

But these lines seem to tell me that you are instead emulating the game on your computer, which would mean you're posting in the wrong forum (well, actually in both situations IMHO.)
Seeing as I think it's more likely you're performing the latter, the question you need to ask is "How do I use the Cheat file in MAME?"

Do you mean that you own the actual arcade game, or are you talking about MAME?
If this is for MAME, your post is in the wrong forum.
You need a file called cheat.dat - place it in your MAME folder and enable cheats in mame.ini or from your front-end.
