New machine definition ?

Boys/Girls,

Maybe this is a FAQ, but here goes ..

I'm interested in creating a new machine definition for the MSX range.

Has anyone attempted this ? in any case, where in the source code is this done ? presumably there is a machine definition mechanism of some sort ..
