Frankly, if it does anything to thin the crowd of self-important narcissists blabbering endlessly into webcams, I'm all for Google+.

I don't want to have to provide a real name as required by G+ policy just to be able to comment on a video, watch an age-flagged video or subscribe to a channel.

I deleted my G+ account, but my YouTube account is still active but no way to log in!  . Crap! Now I have to wait (and see) for my G+ account to be restored.
Why did I delete my G+ account *you may be wondering* ? It was probably stupidity -I admit. But for whatever reason - whenever I tried to click a thumbs up/down on a comment, or post a reply/comment - I'd get a pop-up with a 404 Error. eta: I didn't care about the G+ account, just so I could do what I wanted to do on YT. That's what you call a 'Handcuff'. Use G+ or else. 
If/when I get access to my YouTube account back, and if the same problem persists - I'll be sure to use that 'Report a Problem' feature -first thing/immediately.

YT gets more business, because they always will. Someone laughs at a "petition," and any other complaints are a few electrons in a bin.
The people who make the videos you like get more hassle, possibly have to set up other ways of getting feedback, and lose their own time and money. They DON'T leave YouTube, because there's nowhere better to go.

Thinking (lol) with a cooler head... Okay. I can see the reason why they're doing this (why YougleTube+ is changing things). I suppose what irks me and so many others is having to tie one account with the other. I prefer the anonymity of my YT account (no wonder TY kept bugging me about my "Hard to Pronounce" screen-name), but that's what those who can abuse YT can like about it too.
In the meantime I'll have to wait and see if my (useless) G+ account gets restored. If not... Hmmm. I'm not sure what I'll do. I guess I'll have to ask that it gets deleted.
One thing I have in mind (with a restored account or having to use a New account) I'll go ahead and take some time to subscribe a 2nd time to my favorite YouTuber, maybe try to also Like as many of his videos twice. Then try to spread the word around amongst my fellow subscribers to do the same. Whatever it takes to screw around with/abuse YougleTube+, just in a non-aggressive way. 
eta: Oh wait. If I don't get my G+ account restored then I'll only have 1 account anyway -- my NEW G+ account.... which will be the only one I can use with YT. Shit....

So create a fake G+ with a fake name. It's just a violation of their terms of use.
